Yah Jen!!!

I'm so excited to announce that I have a new blogging friend!! Jen has started her own blog at http://rockstarscrappin.blogspot.com/. She is a brand new Stampin Up! demonstrator, and my Stampin Up! sister! Samantha is our upline! She doesn't have any pics of her stuff posted yet, but she makes beautiful cards!! I happen to have this card on my computer from a swap we did earlier this year. Isn't it great?? Welcome Jen!

Happy Thursday

Good morning! Well... it's Thursday, and this week I have not had a moment to post anything creative! In fact, I haven't had a moment to do anything creative. :-) Between spending the weekend in Big Bear, our dental check ups, a meeting with my son's teacher and principal (my honors/GATE student is getting a D) to the Class of 2012 Welcome To High School meeting (OMG, my son is about to start High School!!), I have been a busy little girl.

So... this morning I went through my box of stuff that I've made in the past and pulled out a few things. I love making cards, but I also like to make other stuff too. I thought sharing some of these other things might give you a little insight in to me. :-) I hope you enjoy!!
This is a cute little scrapbook I made with a 12 x 12 Stampin Up! kit and some envelopes. As cute as they are, they are usually a lot of work, so I don't make them very often. :-)
I'll post more through out the day!
Thanks for looking and Happy Thursday!

I got an award!!!

I received this award from my blogging BFF Denise. It is the Arte Y Pico (Art & More) Award and is given to bloggers who share their art and creativity making their contribution to the blogging world. Thank you for this Denise! What an exciting honor!!

The rules!

1. You have to pick five blogs that you consider deserve this award for their creativity, design, interesting material, and also contributes to the blogging community, no matter what language.

2. Each award has to have the name of the author and also a link to his or her blog to be visited by everyone.

3. Each award winner has to show the award and put the name and the link to the blog that has given her or him the award itself.

4. Award-winner and the one who has given the prize have to show the link of Arte y Pico blog, so everyone will know the origin of this award.

5. To show these rules.

Now it's my turn to pick 5 great blogs to be awarded. What a difficult task! Since my two favorite bloggers, Denise and Samantha, have already been chosen, I want to pick 5 new blogs. And the winners are... Dawn Easton, Sharon Rivera, Michelle P Fisher, Catherine, and Erin. I love all these blogs, visiting most of them daily. I love seeing all their great creations!!

Thanks again for this award Denise!

I love Rock N Roll!!!

Happy Friday!! I love Fridays, aren't they great??

Anyways... I also love Rock N Roll. Yah, the music, but I'm actually talking about the technique! I've been a little creatively challenged the last couple of weeks, so I spent yesterday looking at so many fabulous blogs. And low and behold, I find a great card that uses the rock and roll technique! So... I promptly copy the picture to my desktop so that I can take it home and CASE it! And while I was having fun in blogland, I copied about 30 more cards that I really loved and thought I could CASE or recreate to make my own. All I needed was a few ideas to get me started, right?? Well. Sort of! I took the picture of the card home and started away. I wanted to change the colors, but other than that, I was all about copying, bit by bit. :-) Only, I screwed it up and made the stamped image too big. Oops... So this was my first attempt.

I really liked the way this card came out, but it still wasn't what I was trying for... So then I made this card.

I really like this card! I love the colors and I love the Rock N Roll!!! By the way, I CASE'd this from Stamp Workshop. It's a great blog, you should check it out!
Thanks for looking and have a great weekend!

What a week!!!

Well this week has been crazy. I wasn't home for more than about 5 minutes all weekend last weekend, and this week hasn't been much better! So of course... I got sick again. :-( I haven't posted anything creative this week, because I haven't done anything. Well... except for the 8 fantastic hours I spent last Saturday scrapping with my good friends Samantha and Sharon! That was fantastic!!

I love my UPS man!!

Oh how I love when I get home from work, and Brian (my UPS man) has been by for a visit!! You have to understand, I order a lot of stuff online, so Brian and I are on a first name basis. LOL!
Since I had been waiting to order a set from the new Occassions Mini, I hadn't gotten all my free Sale A Bration stuff yet! So... last night was a fun night!!!
I applied some rub-ons to these votive holders for a craft fair Samantha and I are doing next weekend... Then I made the candy bags. I didn't like the way the candy bags turned out at all! Any suggestions?? So having become a little frustrated with my lack of creative abilities last night, I decided I should make a card! Well... I actually made several and they were awful! This was the best of the bunch. :-) And by the way... how great is it that all the SAB sets and the sets from the new Occassions Mini were already cut out for us?? Wow! That was a bright spot in my unimaginative evening! I hope they continue with that! Anyway, I hope every one has a great weekend!
Thanks for looking! Tina

Time Spent with Great Friends!!

Good morning... Well another evening, another opportunity to create a cute card! I had a great dinner with some wonderful friends, and I left there really appreciating the wonderful people in my life! I have so many great people around me and I love them all!! I am so blessed, and last night I was really feeling the love! So... when I decided to sit down and make a card, I naturally went right to the Time Well Spent set. It's the first time I've used it, so I had to put it together first, but I love the card.

So Many Scallops

Good morning!! I made myself a little pact a week or so ago, and so far, I am doing good. I promised myself to exercise more and to stamp more! Well... I took a pretty bad fall this weekend, so I have a great excuse to not exercise. :-) Which, means I have even more time to stamp!! I'm not sure why the colors are not showing up well in this pick, but the card is actually Green Galore.
